Spyderco Dragonfly-Plain Blade- Compressed Dinosaur Bone and Mother of Pearl

In the early 1980’s Sal Glesser, the owner of Spyderco Knives and Accessories out of Golden, Colorado, contacted us about customizing his knives. We developed the fan design that enhances the shape of the knife specifically for them. We continue to offer these designs exclusively on Spydercos. Bone is a common  material for knife handles - and we have the oldest bone available. The gemstone in these knife handles is actually a section of petrified bone from a sauropod (brontosaurus) that lived over 150 million years ago. 

Coming from Moab, Utah, the colors vary dramatically from red to brown, black, white & yellow depending on the minerals surrounding the bone as it became petrified. Special packaging comes with this limited edition series as well.
