In the early 1980's Sal Glesser, the owner of Spyderco Knives and Accessories out of Golden Colorado, contacted us about customizing his knives. We developed the SpyderWeb design, as well as a fan design, that enhances the shape of the knife specially for them. We continue to offer these designs exclusively on Spydercos. Customers may send their knives for custom handle work as well.

Spyderco Clip-its come with a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the back to securely attach the knife in your pocket or purse or as a money clip; and the famous SpyderEdge, a serrated knife blade that cuts like a saw.

Westing House Butter Scoth Vintage-Vintage or Old Stock micarta and composite materials.  "Micarta" is used in the generic sense as many times it is impossible to confirm the actual manufacturer of the material.  Companies like Bakelite, Westinghouse, GE (Textolite), International Paper and others all manufactured a variety of phenolic composite materials over a period of many decades using paper, linen, canvas, rag etc.  Generically people refer to all of these materials as "micarta" although each manufacturer had their own trade names for them. Westinghouse and then International Paper and finally Norplex are the companies that produced the actual "Micarta" line of materials.
