Woolly Mammoth Tooth

Of all the animals that lived during the last Ice Age, the Woolly Mammoth is one of the best known. The material in this knife handle is actually a section of a tooth from a Woolly Mammoth - one that lived around 15,000 years ago.

Mammoth fossils are 150,000+ year old natural material so patterns and colors vary on each knife, No two are the same! These Photos are representations of the Material, actual products will vary in color and patterns.

Steel Type

The blade steel type is high alloy stainless Damascus steel. Since this is a solid high quality steel type there is no need for harder core steel. Core steel is required in most industrially manufactured Damascus blades. Instead, this blade is precision CNC full flat grinded from a solid bar of beautiful high alloy Damascus steel.
The two steel types that make up the Small Rose Pattern of the blade are 440C and N690 high alloy.

Anodized

Titanium anodizing is a process used to increase the durability and corrosion resistance of titanium components. It also provides a range of color options to make the components more aesthetically pleasing.

The process involves passing an electric current through a titanium component in an electrolyte solution, which causes a thin oxide layer to form on the surface of the metal. This oxide layer is what gives titanium anodizing its improved properties and color options.
